Yerevan, October 20 /Mediamax/. The growth of Armenia’s GDP in January-September 2006 totaled 12,5% as compared to the same period last year.

As the press service of the National Statistical Service of Armenia told Mediamax today, the GDP volume in January-September 2006 totaled 1720063.0mln drams.

The volume of industrial production in the republic in January- September 2006 stood at 468010.6mln drams, having decreased by 1,6% as compared to the same period 2005.

The average monthly salary in Armenia in January- September 2006 increased by 22,1% as compared to the same period last year, thus making 61320 drams. The salary of budget organizations has increased by 22,6%, making 42684 drams during the accounting period, and the salary of non-budget organizations stood at 75074 drams (growth - 20,5%). --0--

The foreign trade turnover of Armenia in January- September 2006 totaled 944.2bln drams or $2208.2mln, having increased by 12,1% as compared to the same period 2005.

As the press service of the National Statistical Service of Armenia told Mediamax today, the export volume during the accounting period made 298.4bln drams or $699.4mln, and the import volume totaled 645.8bln drams or $1508.7mln.

The deficit of the foreign trade balance in January- September 2006 stood at 347.4bln drams or $862.9mln.
