Banks.am continues to reflect on Armenia’s audit sector. Our latest publication discussed the “pros” and “cons” of elimination of statutory audit in Armenia. This time we are casting an overall look at the sector in order to present the key players and the results they have attained.The study of the websites of the companies holding a license for auditing in Armenia brought to the forefront the following picture of the 2014 audit market:- According to the list published by Ministry of Finance on 31.03.2015, there are 35 organizations that have a license for auditing in Armenia. - Two of these companies have not published their 2014 annual reports and the list of audited persons. One more organization has not published only the list of audited persons (these three are small local companies and the absence of these data cannot have any major impact on the overall picture of the market). - As of 2014, the total volume of the market makes AMD 5.5 billion (the total sum of the income presented in the annual financial statements of all companies), which is by 7% more against the same index of the previous year. Interestingly, the market has registered growth even in the conditions of elimination of economic fluctuations and mandatory audit.
