The European Union will continue supporting development of small and medium enterprises and business in Eastern Partnership countries. EU Commissioner for Neighbourhood Policy Johannes Hahn has stated this at a press conference following the Business Forum at Eastern Partnership Riga Summit Business today. He noted that enhancing business activities and strengthening economic ties is one of the most peaceful means to avoid any armed conflicts.According to the EU Commissioner, after singing of Association Agreements and DCFTA with Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine registered export growth.Answering a question on Ukraine’s and Georgia’s intention to join the EU, Johannes Hahn has said that a lot of reforms are needed to be approved legally but also implemented in order to submit membership application.''This is about process and only then we can discuss future steps'', said Johannes Hahn. Riga is hosting Eastern Partnership Summit on May 21-22. The Summit is focused on bilateral relations of the six member states of the program.
