BBVA has been demonstrating a conversational app concept built directly into OpenAI's ChatGPT that lets customers get information about the bank's offerings, Finextra informs.Recently, OpenAI introduced the concept of third-party apps to ChatGPT. Although they are not yet available in the EU, the Spanish banking group has taken the initiative and built an app that will enable people to obtain information about offerings such as account conditions, types of cards, or savings products, simply by asking questions in natural language.The initial version of the app is designed to handle informational queries about BBVA’s products and services in Italy and Germany. Over time, it is envisaged that the experience will evolve into a "digital companion," says the bank.BBVA has been working with OpenAI since last year, with 11,000 licences have been deployed across the Spanish bank.
