Sber has designed a new solution warning its clients about phone frauds in real time.

Sber press center reports that the solution is named Aura. It has artificial intelligence technology at the heart, including a modern deep learning neural language model that studied thousands of real fraud calls.

Aura is already available to users of SberMobile. Artificial intelligence will analyze the calls of customers who activated the service, and as soon as it detects fraud, the subscriber will hear an alert: “Beware! This might be phone fraud.”

The technology has been trained using Sber’s cybersecurity data and is still being trained using new materials, getting better with each new call.

At its pilot stage, Aura proved to identify fraud with 80% accuracy, showing under 1% of false alerts.

Statistics for the first half of 2021 showed us that over 70% of calls users receive from unknown numbers are made by scammers. Every month, they steal RUB 3.5-5 bn from the accounts of people who trusted them.

Therefore, we give special attention to anything concerning the prevention of fraud and ensuring the security of our users’ confidential data. Aura – Protection against Fraud is already available to the operator’s subscribers.
