Yandex plans to create its own financial ecosystem, Vedomosti reports.

According to Vedomosti, the company has registered 17 trademarks: «ЯБанк», «ЯКредит», «ЯБиржа», «ЯБрокер», «ЯВклад», «ЯКапитал», «ЯСтраховка», «ЯСчет», «ЯПортфель», «ЯСбережения», «ЯСейф», «ЯЭквайринг», «ЯПеревод», «ЯВалюта», «ЯТрейд», «ЯАкции» и «ЯКэш».

The publication indicates that the decision to create a financial ecosystem might be the effect of the loss of Yandex.Money: Yandex sold that service to Sberbank in July.

Yandex.Money («Яндекс.Деньги») was registered as a small non-bank credit organization and established as an e-payment system. Now Yandex wants to provide banking services and enter the investment and insurance sectors.

Yandex has declined to discuss the launch date of the new projects.

“We often register trademarks or patents, but not all of them are implemented afterwards. It is usual practice for large IT companies,” said a Yandex representative.
