The largest Russian banks plan to expand the test cash withdrawal from bank cards at the cashier nationwide, Vice President of the Association of Banks of Russia Alexey Voylukov has told Izvestiya. Sberbank allows cash withdrawal at the sales points of small and medium business in remote areas of certain regions. Large retail networks can introduce the service in cooperation with Sberbank this September. Voylukov said consumers would be able to withdraw up to RUB 3000 at one go. “It’s hard to say yet how many banks will decide to use the service. Everything depends on the demand of the service from the people and the stores’ desire, understanding and convenience. First of all, the service will interest banks with large geography, plenty of ATMs and POS, and banks that provide CVIT services.
