Russian Geobank has hired a humanoid robot as consultant at the bank’s multifunctional office. According to Banki.ru, the robot can carry out functions of several employees at the same time and a number of additional tasks. “The robot will be placed by the bank’s office and attract new clients by telling about the conditions of the bank, answering questions, and even taking photos of clients and printing them. Similar employees offer a number of advantages like absence of human factor: robots don’t get tired, they don’t need sick days or holidays, and they are always in a good mood,” the bank’s statement reads. The robot was produced by Promobot Russian company. “Bank employees will be the first to be completely replaced by robots. Similar development was observed when calculators, cash registers, ATMs, and then mobile apps came about. Machines took part of humans’ functions with every stage, and we are taking yet another step in that direction,” Development Director at Promobot Oleg Kivokurtsev said. Promobots work in 34 countries as administrators, promoters, consultants, guides and concierges, replacing or supplementing human employees. The partner of Fintech section is Tweet Views 19170
