TalkBank is looking for partners in CIS region and Europe

The virtual TalkBank plans to expand to the CIS region and Europe and is looking for partners, founder Mikhail Popov said in the interview to Infobank.by.

According to Popov, his fintech platform, which operates via messengers, is currently cooperating with two Russian banks with a perspective of adding new credit and financial institutions.

“We strike deals with the banks on certain conditions, the revenue share principle in particular. We attract clients and develop client services, and the bank secures the infrastructure for payments and accounts.

It is a mutually beneficial collaboration, because as a rule, we bring brand new clients to the bank, many of whom actually learn about the given bank from us. The reason is that we work under our brand and the clients meet our service first and learn about our partner banks later,” said Popov.
 
According to him, over 90% of applications from customers are processed and completed by TalkBank thanks to AI technologies and automated speech recognition, which is why partner banks do not work with TalkBank clients and do not spend the funds and resources of their contact centers on the clients.

Touching on the main difference between TalkBank from regular banks with offices or remote banking institutions like Tinkoff, Popov said:

“Our key difference is that while we use the new interaction interface, the chat bots in messengers, we understand that they should not imitate mobile applications! This is a completely different story. We create a financial assistant. It analyzes your life and suggests the best decisions, you can always use it, and so the ideology is absolutely different. TalkBank is an assistant, a navigator that guides the clients and helps them manage their personal finances.”

TalkBank has a multi-messenger platform that includes Viber, Telegram, Vkontakte, and Facebook, with WhatsApp set to join. The fintech platform uses the voice assistant Alice and intends to add Google Home and Alexa.

“Customer experience is changing and our innovations are in demand. You can open the messenger, open TalkBank, say “hi”, use your card, make a transfer to friends and take a loan. Everything is done via the messenger, without any additional steps. Everything is convenient, clear, and transparent. Did you miss something? Ask, and the robot will explain. It attracts people, it is what they expect, especially from fintech,” Popov highlighted.
