American billionaire, prominent investor Warren Buffett expressed his view on cryptocurrencies, according to which the recent craze over bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies won’t end well.

“I can say with almost certainty that they will come to a bad ending. When it happens or how or anything else, I don’t know,” the investor told in an interview to CNBC.

CNBC noted that Warren Buffett’s skepticism isn’t new. He expressed some scary predictions on bitcoin yet in 2014.

“Stay away from it. It’s a mirage, basically. It’s a method of transmitting money. The idea that it has some huge intrinsic value is just a joke in my view,” he stressed.
