Alex Kobelashvili, Operations Manager at the Tsinandali Estate, A Radisson Collection Hotel, tells how they hosted 10,000 employees of the Georgian TBC Bank in fall 2022 at Alexander Chavchavadze’s dynastic estate. Almost half a year passed, but Alex’s memories are still fresh: he confesses that he could not sleep due to stress the nights before the event. Image by: Rezi “It was like a special operation. Logistics alone was an issue. Some 150 buses were to arrive and we had to organize it in a way to avoid traffic jams and to ensure that everyone would get to the place on time,” Alex recalls. Image by: Silk Hospitality In 2007, George Ramishvili, the Silk Road Group founder and Yerkin Tatishev, his Kazakh partner, decided to give new life to the estate of the Georgian intellectual, poet and military figure Alexander Chavchavadze, located in the heart of Kakheti region, in the village of Tsinandali.During these years, $60 million has been invested in the Tsinandali Estate, which includes the Alexander Chavchavadze house-museum, vineyards, winery, the Tsinandali Estate, A Radisson Collection Hotel and the recently opened the Park Hotel. It is managed by the Silk Hospitality, which has gained a great experience by managing Radisson Blu Iveria in Tbilisi and Radisson Blu Batumi in the resort town of Batumi. The Tsinandali Festival of classical music has been held here since 2019 with the participations of world famous musicians. On the days of our visit, Alex Kobelashvili and his team were getting prepared to welcome foreign VIP-guests who had chosen the Tsinandali Estate for a birthday celebration party.
