Yerevan/Mediamax/. On the threshold of the 10th anniversary, Unibank summed up the results of its activity and outlined priority areas of its development.

In particular, the assets of the bank exceeded AMD 112.9bln and the credit portfolio- AMD 74.8bln as of June 30. The volume of term deposits made AMD 80.3bln. On the threshold of the 10th anniversary, the bank introduced a new deposit with 12.5% annual interest rate.

As of the first half-year of 2011, Unibank ensured the highest, over 5-fold, growth of net profit, in the banking system having surpassed the index by AMD 1bln.

As of June 30, the volume of credits issued by the bank to the individuals exceeded ADM 23.6bln which makes 31.6% of the bank’s total credit investments. The number of Unibank’s consumer credits increased over 7-fold against the index of 2010.

The number of business credits issued by the bank in the first half-year of 2011, increased over 1.5-fold against the same index of 2010.

Unibank ranks among the top 5 commercial banks of Armenia by the number of emitted cards. As of now; the number of the cards issued by the bank makes 73 000 and the overdraft portfolio exceeds AMD 11bln. It is planned to sum up the current year with an index of 110 000 cards. At the same time, the issue of Visa chip cards within the bank’s own processing center (USD 1mln was allotted for to set up the center) is planned in early November.

In January-July 2011, the UNISTREAM turnover in Armenia exceeded USD 349mln and the growth made 27%. The number of transfers reached up to 436.6 thousand. The system turnover is expected to exceed USD670mln in 2011.

The bank currently has 37 branches. It aims to become a leader on the retail market.
