Inflation in Armenia in June 2011 made 8.5% as compared to 2010 (the April index being 9%).In June, food prices grew by 15%, against the same period last year (the May index is 14.7%), nonfood prices grew by 2.9% (May index- 2.4%), tariffs for services – by 2.8% (May index being 2.5%).As the National Statistical Service of Armenia informed Mediamax, during January-June 2011, inflation made 9.9% as compared to same period of 2010; the food price index made 116.2%, nonfood index – 103.1%, tariffs for services- 105%.In June 2011, the consumer price index made 7.8%, as compared to December 2010; the foodstuff index– 112.6%, nonfood index- 103% and tariffs for services- 103.9%.In June 2011, prices on the Armenian consumer market fell by 1.4% as compared to May 2011.
