Yerevan/Mediamax/. Chairman of the Union of Armenian Bank (UAB) Ashot Osipyan stated today that agriculture insurance is an “expensive product”.

Mediamax reports that Ashot Osipyan said that there is high risk in agriculture. “As opposed to risks in other spheres, in agriculture there are risks, which are hard to be forecasted, for instance, the climatic risk”, he said.

According to Osipyan, absence of corresponding infrastructures, in particular, agricultural equipment register, passport system of livestock, also hinder development of agriculture insurance.
