Yerevan/Mediamax/. American billionaire Donald trump signed a contact for construction of two tallest buildings in Georgia.

Trend was informed in the Georgian President’s Administration that the deal signing ceremony took place in the presence of the Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili in New York.

Donald Trump announced after signing of the contract that the initial investments in Georgia will make USD 250mln.

40-storied buildings will be built in Batumi. Each of the skyscrapers will contain about 100 elite apartments.

The signed document is a “licensed agreement”. The construction itself will not be carried out by Trump, but by Georgia Ramishvili, who heads “Silk Road Group Georgia”, which is one of the largest private investment companies in Georgia.

Georgi Ramishvili stressed that the skyscraper in Batumi should become a part of the large tourist complex, which will include the hotel, casino, an exhibition center, stores and a yacht dock.  

At the news conference, Mikhail Saakashvili described the project as “grandiose” and stated that after its completion it will become possible to compare Batumi with Dubai or Singapore.

Donald Trump and Mikhail Saakashvili exchanged compliments. Trump described Saakashvili as “his friend” and noted the achievements of the Georgian President in economic reforms and struggle against corruption.
