Yerevan /Mediamax/. In January-April, 2009, Armenian GDP cut down by 9.7%, as compared to the same period of last year. As Mediamax was told in the National Statistical Service today, GDP volume in January-April made 638bln 939.3mln AMD. The volume of industrial production in the Republic in January-April, 2009, made 176bln 967.6mln AMD, having cut down by 11.1%, as compared to the analogous period of 2008. At that, the largest decline is registered in the sphere of construction (42.4%). Average monthly salary in Armenia in January-April, 2009, increased, as compared to the same period of 2008, by 13.2%, and made 96 875 AMD. At that, the salary in budget organizations increased by 17.9% and made 80 937 AMD in the accounting period, and in non-budget organizations – 120 427 AMD (growth 7.4%). In January-April, 2009, import to Armenia cut down for a quarter Foreign trade turnover of Armenia in January-April, 2009, made 360.7bln AMD or $1069.1mln, having cut down by 30%, as compared to the same period of 2008. As Mediamax was told in the National Statistical Service today, export volume has cut down by 47.8%, making in the accounting period 59.9bln AMD or $175.6mln; import in January-April, 2009, cut down, as compared to the analogous period of 2008, by 25%, making 300.8bln AMD, or $893,5mln.
