Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenian government approved today the package of legislative changes on implementing an electronic system in the State Revenue Committee, which will allow presenting tax accounts in on-line mode. As the Chairman of the Committee Gagik Khachatryan stated at a briefing today, “the changes aim at reducing corruption risks and saving the time of the taxpayers”. Head of the Committee informed that after concluding the corresponding agreement with tax bodies, the taxpayers in the course of 1 day will receive the login and the password to the system of electronic management, and, as a result, an electronic signature. Gagik Khachatryan stated that at the first stage (October, 2009), the users of electronic systems will be banks, credit organizations, account-payment organizations, investment companies, the Central Depository of Armenia, insurance companies; at the second stage (February, 2010) – state administrative establishments, governmental non-commercial organizations, the annual turnover of which exceeds 100mln AMD. Implementation of the program for the remaining categories of taxpayers will start in summer, 2010. To implement the program, the government invested 180mln AMD from off-budget means; means, provided by the Asian Development Bank and the World Bank, will also be allocated for the funding of the program.
