Yerevan /Mediamax/. There are no perquisites for further devaluation of AMD, General Director of “Ameriabank” Artak Anesyan believes.

Mediamax reports that at his meeting with journalists, Artak Anesyan expressed confidence that no further significant currency fluctuations are expected, and by the end of 2009, the USD exchange rate will not exceed 385 AMD.

“As a result of devaluation, which took place in early March, we bore certain losses, but instead, the confidence towards us increased, since we till the end realized exchange of AMD to USD at the request of our customers”, Artak Anesyan stated.

According to his assessments, dollarization of the Armenian banking system makes 70-80% today, and the dedollarization will last 3-5 years.
