Yerevan /Mediamax/. The volume of time deposits in “Ameriabank” in the first quarter of 2009 increased for 39.9% and made 22.2bln AMD, 5.7 times exceeding the analogous index of 2008.

As Mediamax was told in the press service of the bank, the deposits of legal entities, which make 79.4% of the total volume of deposits, increased in the same period by 26.2%, which 5.9 times exceeds the analogous index of 2008.

At that the volume of individual deposits in the first quarter of 2009 increased for 141.1%, exceeding the index of last year 5.2 times.

According to “Ameriabank” representatives, the fact that in December, 2008, the bank put forward an initiative of completely insuring deposits irrespective of the sum and the currency in many respects contributed to growth of indices.
