Yerevan /Mediamax/. The growth of Armenia’s GDP in January-May of 2008 totaled 9,8%, as compared to the same period of 2007##. As the press service of the National Statistical Service of Armenia told Mediamax today, the GDP volume in January-May of 2008 totaled 982bln 149,7mln drams. The volume of industrial production in the republic in January-May of 2008 stood at 287bln 712,1mln drams, having decreased by 0.4%, as compared to the same period of 2007.The average monthly salary in Armenia in January-May of 2008 increased by 22.9%, as compared to the same period of 2007, thus making 86 850 drams. At that the salary of budget organizations increased by 16.6%, making 60 775 drams during the accounting period, and the salary of non-budget organizations stood at 109 621 drams (growth – 24,5%). The foreign trade turnover of Armenia in January-May of 2008 totaled 610,9bln drams or $1 982,1mln, having increased by 29,6 %, as compared to the same period of 2007.As the press service of the National Statistical Service of Armenia told Mediamax today, the export volume during the accounting period made 130bln drams or $421,9mln, and the import volume totaled 480,9bln drams or $1 560,2mln.The deficit of the foreign trade balance in January-May of 2008 made 350,9bln drams or $1 138,3mln.
