Yerevan, June 4 /Mediamax/. Chairman of the Board of “Unibank” Vartan Ataian proposes to legislatively consolidate the claim on carrying out operations on purchase and sale of real estate by cashless ways, which will allow increasing the inflow of means to the banks.

As Mediamax was told in the press service of “Unibank”, Vartan Ataian stated that the capacity of the Armenian market of mortgage crediting makes $1bln per year. According to him, the main reason for the fact that the crediting is not realized in the necessary volumes is the insufficient volume of means in the banks.

Chairman of “Unibank” Board recalled that the ratio of the volume of banking deposits to the GDP makes only 8% in Armenia. “This means that only a small share of the savings of the population is in the banks”, Vartan Ataian added.
