“Bank of Georgia” CJSC plans to issue eurobonds. Mediamax reports referring “News-Georgia” that the Exclusive Manager on placing securities of the “Bank of Georgia” is the “Merrill Lynch” Company. Starting from January 22, “Merrill Lynch” plans to hold presentations on introducing bonds in Singapore, Hong-Kong, and four European countries. According to the results of the presentations, an analysis of the demand will be held and the emission volume of the bonds and their cost will be determined. According to the development strategy, during 2007 the “Bank of Georgia” plans to increase its assets by 70%, including the net wealth - by 50%. For realizing the set tasks the bank needs to attract additional funds at the sum of $ 400mln. On November 29, the “Bank of Georgia” placed on the London Stock Exchange shares at the whole sum of $160mln, participating in the auction on LSE for the first time in the history of the Georgian banking system.
