Yerevan, January 12 /Mediamax/. U.S. Charge d’Affaires in Armenia Anthony Godfrey stated in Yerevan today that “Armenia plays a very important role in suppressing the transportation of arms and illegal financial flows through the country borders”.

Mediamax reports that Anthony Godfrey said this today at the opening of the seminar, organized for the fellows of Police and the National Security Service of Armenia by the Anti-terrorism Department of the U.S. Department of State.

Anthony Godfrey stated that the U.S. Administration is interested in holding a consistent effective antiterrorism fight at high professional level not only in the USA, but in other countries as well. That is why, the diplomat noted, the U.S. side assists the technical rearmament of the corresponding services and realizes programs on experience exchange.
