Yerevan, September 7 /Mediamax/. The tender for selling the 90% of the shares of the Armenian “ArmenTel” Telecommunications Company, announced by the Greek OTE Corporation, will end in the second half of September.

Mediamax was told about this in an interview with the Spokeswoman for the Russian “Beeline” mobile operator Yulia Ostroukhova. “We do not have any other information concerning the process of the tender “, Ostrouklhova stated.

Kirill Alyavdin, the Spokesman for the Russian MTS operator, which also claims to purchase “ArmenTel”, stated in an interview to Mediamax that “we do not have any new information about the tender”.

Four bidders take part in the second stage of the tender: the Russian MTS and Beeline operators and two consortiums - the first one set up by Emirates Telecommunications Corp (ETISALAT), Istithmar PJSC and Emergent Telecom Ventures (ETV) and the second is composed of VTEL Holdings and Knightsbridge Associates.
