In the first half 2006, 37 Azerbaijani banks have shawn profit.

As Trend was told in the National Bank of Azerbaijan, the total profit of Azerbaijani banks in the first half 2006 has grown by 23,7%, thus making 35,04 million manats.

As last year, the number of unprofitable Azerbaijani banks was 6. During the first 6 months of 2006, their losses totaled 1,61 million mantas.
