British fintech startup with Russian founders Revolut has entered into the U.S. market.Bloomchain.ru reports that the company has announced yesterday that any U.S. resident can now open a Revolut account and order a debit card. Since Nikolay Storonsky’s startup does not have a U.S. banking license, it has partnered with Metropolitan Commercial Bank.First, Revolut users in the U.S. will be able to access only basic functions such as making deposits, withdrawing money, making money transfers, and receiving salary to the account. Just like in the European market, Revolut debit card supports multiple currencies so users can convert money directly in the app.“Revolut has often stressed that the U.S. is one of the priority markets for the startup’s development. The entry into the American market could be one of the reasons Revolut canceled the launch of the app in Russia,” said Bloomchain.ru.The partner of Fintech section is Tweet Views 17675
