NASDAQ OMX Armenia CEO Konstantin Saroyan said today that the probability of currency devaluation is 50/50.

“I personally believe there is no high fluctuation risk, there are more expectations”, he said adding that the practice observed over the past years shows quite a smooth growth of exchange rates.

ArmSwissbank Deputy CEO-Director, Director of Investment Department Karen Turyan informed that banks their customers hedging methods in order to avoid dollar fluctuations, “people are waiting but they do not take clear steps”.

Karen Turyan stated that as of today USD 1 amounts to AMD 410 at most. “I believe it will still remain so; fluctuation of AMD 2-3 is not a very high risk”, he said.
