Yerevan, June 13. /Mediamax/. The Central Bank (CB) of Armenia will continue adhering to a “floating exchange rate” policy, CB chairman Tigran Sarkisian said in Yerevan today. “We adhere to a “floating exchange rate” policy and will continue realizing it,” CB chairman said. Tigran Sarkisian abstained from predicting the relation of the national currency to U.S. dollar in the nearest future. Among the factors influencing the strengthening of the national dram, Tigran Sarkisian outlined the huge foreign currency inflow to Armenia and the growth of trust in national currency. “Over last 8 years, Armenia has been facing stable inflation and the citizens who kept money in national currency are today more protected from possible losses,” said Tigran Sarkisian.
