Yerevan, June 9. /Mediamax/. Moody’s rating agency will assign a rating to Armeconombank. Speaking at a press conference in Yerevan today following the annual meeting of bank’s shareholders, Chairman of Armeconombank Executive Board Ashot Osipian said that the relevant agreement with Moody’s has already been signed and the rating is to be assigned in August or September, Mediamax reports. Commenting on the fact that Fitch Ratings has assigned the Republic of Armenia a credit rating, Ashot Osipian said that “we are very glad, as the rating plays a vital role in negotiations on the international financial market.” According to him, the “BB-“ rating assigned to Armenia “is a very high index for the republic.” “Taking into consideration the fact that the rating is assigned to Armenia for the first time, it may be considered as brilliant,” Ashot Osipian noted.
