Yerevan/Mediamax/. Organizations and private entrepreneurs, who were not presenting tax reports as of January 1, 2008, will be abolished without collection of fines and penalties. Mediamax reports that such a decision was made today at the session of the Armenian government. Head of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia Gagik Khachatryan said that 145 thousand managing subjects are registered in Armenia and 70 thousands of them have not been carrying out factual activity for already a few years. The Committee suggests abolishing those organizations and private entrepreneurs, without bringing them to administrative charge for non-provision of tax reporting. By another decision, the government established privileges for repayment of debts on obligatory tax and social payments by organizations and private entrepreneurs. Gagik Khachatryan informed that as of January 1, 2010, the debts of taxpayers made over AMD 210bln, taking into account fines (34bln) and penalty fees (72bln). The subjects, the debt of which makes up to AMD 50mln, will be able to repay their debts in the course of a year, paying 1/10 part of the debt monthly, and the ones, having debts of over AMD 50mln, will pay 1/22 part of the total sum monthly. Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsian said that this decision should be widely covered by the media for “all enterprises to know that an exclusive opportunity is provided to them for them to fulfill their liabilities”. “Per se, this is a form of tax pardon”, the Prime Minister said.
