Yerevan/Mediamax/. International Moody’s rating agency intends to revise credit ratings of 177 banking organizations in 46 countries worldwide.

RBC Daily reads today that Moody’s does not rule out that the ratings of many banks will be lowered in connection with revision.

“Lowering of ratings may concern all banks without taking into account their size, since one of the main problems of the banking sector of developed countries over the past few years was the deficiency in own capital of the companies. I believe that mainly European banks will lose their ratings, since their American competitors have carried out a huge work in this direction over the past two years, including numerous mergers, as well as simply increase of own capital”, President of Egan Jones Rating Agency Sean Egan stated.

Mediamax notes that among Armenian banks, ratings of Moody’s are assigned to “Armeconombank”, “Ardshininvestbank”, “Prometey Bank” and “Unibank”.
