Yerevan/Mediamax/. The Armenian Bureau of vehicle insurers found a technical solution to the problem with Georgian border guards, spokeswoman for the Bureau Armine Hakopian told Mediamax. The Georgian border guards require that the Armenian drivers entering Georgia should remove the CTP coupons from the windshield, as in accord with Georgian laws vehicle windshields should be completely free. “As far as the coupon cannot be removed without damages, the drivers returning to Armenia are forced to receive a new one on the border, which is issued free of charge only for the first time, but for the second and third times it costs AMD 1000 and 5000,” Armine Hakopian said. According to her, the problem has been also discussed during the recent visit of Mikhail Saakashvili to Armenia, but the Georgian side has not resolved the issue yet. “Thus, the Bureau decided to find a technical solution to the issue, by allowing the drivers to laminate their CTP coupon, thus removing it from the windshield while crossing the Georgian border and putting it back when returning to Armenia,” spokeswoman for the Armenian Bureau of vehicle insurers stated.
