Yerevan/Mediamax/. Tatev ropeway can enter Guinness World Records, Executive Director of Armenian National Competitiveness Foundation (ANCF) Pegor Papazian informed.

Mediamax reports that, speaking at the news conference following the results of “Tatev Revival” project, Pegor Papazian stated that at present ANCF carries out negotiations with Guinness World Records publishers.

Tatev-Alidzor ropeway, with the length of 5.7 km, the official opening of which will take place on October 16, is the longest in the world. Its first passengers on the opening day will be Armenian President Serzh Sargsian and Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II. Since October 23, the ropeway will be open for everybody.

Sponsors of “Tatev Revival” project - Executive Director of “Ameria” Group of Companies Andrey Mkrtchyan and General Manager of “VivaCell-MTS” Ralph Yirikian, who were present at the news conference, noted importance of the project, expressing hope that it will make Armenia more recognizable on international arena and will contribute to economic development of Syunik marz.
