Yerevan/Mediamax/. Direct foreign investments volume in real sector of economy of Armenia made $327,5mln in the first half-year, increasing by 4,9% as compared to the analogous period in 2009. Mediamax was informed in national Statistical Service of Armenia that direct foreign investments volume made $220,3mln in the first half year, having reduced by 10.6% as compared to the first half year in 2009. Russia remains the largest investor in economy of Armenia, having invested $116,89mln in the first half year ($85,8mln of which is direct investment). France is the second largest investor with investment volume making $70,4mln (the entire volume is direct investments), the Netherlands is the third, having invested $63,08mln in the first half year, $2,3mln of which is direct. In January-June, 2010, 25.39% of direct foreign investments in real sector of Armenian economy were directed to the energy sector, 47.05% in telecommunication sector, 7.78% in air transport sphere.
