Yerevan/Mediamax/. Credit portfolio of Armenian banks in late February, 2010, made 754bln 984mln AMD, having increased by 2.5% or for 18bln 804mln AMD, as compared to January.

As Mediamax was informed in the National Statistical Service of Armenia, the volume of credits, provided by banks in foreign currency as of the end of February made 373bln 307mln AMD, and in national currency – 348bln 737mln AMD.

The volume of overdue credits in the Armenian banking system as of the end of February made 5bln 079mln AMD, having reduced for 267mln AMD or by 5%, as compared to January.

The volume of credits, issued by credit organizations of Armenia as of the end of February, 2010, made 50bln 272mln AMD, having increased for 794mln AMD, as compared to January.

The volume of deposits, attracted by Armenian commercial banks as of the end of February, 2010, made 664bln 425mln AMD, having increased by 14bln 904mln AMD, as compared to January.

The volume of residents’ deposits made 545bln 624mln AMD as of the end of February, having increased for 16bln 978mln AMD, as compared to January, while the deposits of non-residents reduced in the accounting period by 2bln 075mln, making 118bln 801mln AMD.

The volume of deposits in foreign currency as of late February made 496bln 379mln AMD (74.7% from the total sum of the deposits), and in national currency – 168bln 064mln AMD (25.3%). As compared to January, the share of deposits in foreign currency increased by 0.3 percentage points.

The remainder on deposits in banks as of the end of February, 2010, made 302 157mln AMD, having increased by 2.9%, as compared to the previous month, and having increased by 49%, as compared to the same period of 2009.
