Yerevan /Mediamax/. Upon conclusion of the first six months, 2009, certain tendencies for stabilization appeared in Armenian economy, Minister of Economy of Armenia Tigran Davtyan stated. Mediamax reports that, speaking at a news conference in Yerevan, Tigran Davtyan stated that in June tax proceeds increased for 5bln AMD as compared to May and exceeded 43bln. Growth of tax proceeds is registered also in the first days of July, Tigran Davtyan stated, adding that this is conditioned by both improvement of tax administration and tendencies for economy stabilization. The Minister noted that recently activity is observed in construction sphere and mining industry, where the government actively realizes crisis prevention measures. According to the Minister of Finance, the government forecasts that slow economy revival will start in the second half of next year and following the results of 2010, Armenia will register 1.1.5% GDP growth.
