Yerevan /Mediamax/. New “Toyota-Yerevan” car salon opened in Yerevan today.

Mediamax reports that Armenian President Serzh Sargsian, Minister of Economy Nerses Yeritsyan, Minister of Finance Tigran Davtyan, other officials and entrepreneurs were present at the opening ceremony.

According to the Chairman of the Board of “Toyota-Yerevan” Samvel Mayrapetyan, the Company became the official dealer of Toyota in Armenia in September, 2006, and in 2007, 550 cars had already been sold. In 2008, the sales volume made 1100 cars.

Monthly, the service center of “Toyota-Yerevan” Company may provide services to 1500 cars.

Investments of “Toyota-Yerevan” made 2.5bln AMD. “Toyota-Yerevan” occupies the 18th place in the list of top taxpayers of Armenia.

Chairman of the Board of “Toyota-Caucasus” Company Tadamasa Yamada noted at the presentation that Toyota attaches significant importance to the South Caucasus region.
