Yerevan /Mediamax/. A number of Armenian banks continue cooperation with Western Union until the terms of agreements##, signed earlier, expire. Chairman of the Central Bank (CB) of Armenia Artur Javadyan said this today, answering Mediamax’s question. “As it is known, CB has forbidden the Armenian banks to cooperate with the given system of money transfers. A number of Armenian banks yet continue cooperation with Western Union, however after the terms of existing agreements expire, the cooperation will be ceased”, Artur Javadyan stated. He added that the analogous situation, only in case with Moneygram money transfer system, is observed in Azerbaijan. “Moneygram did not stop functioning in Nagorno-Karabakh, on the contrary, the volumes of money transfers, realized through this system in NKR, continue increasing”, CB Head stated.
