The Yerevan concerts of the Encuentros group, organized with the support of Argentine-Armenian benefactor Eduardo Eurnekian and the Eurnekian Group companies - Converse Bank, Karas Wines and Armenia International Airports - have ended. Well-known Argentine-Armenian composer Alicia Terzian’s group had two concerts in Yerevan, on April 12 and April 18. They performed for the Armenian audience the compositions and songs of the famous composers of XX-XXI centuries, including the compositions of Astor Piazzola and Anibal Troilo, as well as songs and dances. “It’s always a great pleasure for us to visit Armenia, perform before the Armenian audience and present our latest music program. This visit has not been an exception either. Though we usually play classical music, this time we have decided to perform tango music for the Armenian audience, which was greeted very warmly by them,” said Alicia Terzian.“We were happy to collaborate with Converse Bank and present the modern music to the Armenian audience by performance of the musicians known in the international stages. We hope that in partnership with the bank we’ll have the opportunity to present to the attention of the Armenian audience other initiatives in the nearest future as well,” said Ruzanna Sirunyan, Director of National Philharmonic Orchestra and organizer of the concerts.“The concert of Encuentros has been a great chance for the Armenian audience to immerse into the tango music. We also made this a grand occasion for the habitants of the Armenian marzes, including the students of Gyumri and Vanadzor Children’s Centers, by assisting them to attend the concert of Encuentros on April 18,” said Gohar Harutyunyan, Director for Operations, Services and IT at Converse Bank, and added that the entry to concerts was free, with invitations.
