Yerevan, June 12 /Mediamax/. Spokesman of VivaCell mobile operator Vahe Isahakian stated today that “the company is not offered for sale”.

Vahe Isahakian said this, commenting on Mediamax’s request on the statement of the President of the Russian AFK “Sistema” Vladimir Yevtushenko, according to which the corporation is interested in purchasing VivaCell.

“The General Director of VivaCell Ralph Yirikian stated that the company is not offered for sale. The statement still stands”, Vahe Isahakian stated in an interview to Mediamax.

In late march of 2007, commenting on the statement, according to which AFK “Sistema” holds talks on purchasing VivaCell, Spokeswoman of MTC Russian mobile operator, which is included in the Corporation, Irina Osadchaya stated in an interview to Mediamax:

“MTC is interested in purchasing assets in all the CIS states, including Armenia, however, at present it has no acceptable offers on purchasing mobile operators in Armenia, which would meet the criteria of the strategy in the sphere of merger and absorption”.
