Yerevan, December 1 /Mediamax/. Armenian government handed the “Haypost” CJSC over to asset management of the “Haypost Trust Management” for 5 years.

As the Chairman of the Central Bank Tigran Sarkisian stated at the ceremony of agreement signing, the development programme for the Armenian Post was worked out by the Armenian CB jointly with the Dutch ING Group. He noted that the given programme provides for implementation of 18 postal services instead of the former 2 onto the Armenian market. Tigran Sarkisian stressed that it will allow improving the sphere of postal services in Armenia and will provide opportunity to the citizens of all the regions of Armenia to use them. Head of the Armenian CB noted that after the date of the asset management expires, the agreement may be extended or will be put to privatization in case of effective functioning.

As the General Director of “Haypost” Gevork Nalbandian stated, the income of “Haypost” CJSC made 250mln AMD in 2005, and in 2006 the expected income makes 70-80mln AMD.

The “Haypost Trust Management” Company was set up by the Dutch “Post Finance International” Company with the purpose of managing the “Hay Post” CSC.
