Yerevan, November 29 /Mediamax/. 13 out of 21 commercial banks of Armenia notify their customers through SMS.

Mediamax reports that this service is provided by: “ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank”, “HSBC Bank Armenia”, “Ardshininvestbank”, “Anelik Bank”, “Unibank”, “Armeconombank”, “Armenian Development Bank”, “Prometey Bank”, “BTA Investbank”, “VTB-Armenia Bank”, “ITB International Trade Bank”, “Cascade Bank” and “Converse Bank”.

The customers of “ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank”, who are holders of ArCa, Visa Electron, Classic, Shopping, ACBA Viva Cell Visa, Business cards, receive SMS messages in case of an operation at the sum of more than 5000 AMD. The cost of one message is 30 AMD. The holders of Visa Gold cards receive messages free.

“Ardshininvestbank” and “Anelik Bank” send out SMS messages to the customers only concerning operations by the plastic cards, and “HSBC Bank Armenia” - when concerning credit cards.

In “Unibank” the service of notification of the customers by means of SMS messages costs 1000 AMD per month.

In 8 banks, which do not send out SMS messages to their customers, they had different explanations for the absence of the given service. For example, “Armswissbank” noted that the given service is more suitable for banks, which provide retail services.
