London is the first city in the world to introduce a cashless payment scheme for street performers.BBC reports that now passers-by in London can support the buskers via card-readers for contactless payment.The project was launched in partnership with Swedish company iZettle, recently bought by PayPal. 21.05.2018 | 09:39 PayPal signs a USD 2.2bn contract “Now, more Londoners will be able to show their support to the capital's brilliant, talented street performers,” said London mayor Sadiq Khan, adding that the scheme would be rolled out across the city after successful trials.The street performers are using card-readers, plugged into smartphones, and accepting fixed payments.The organization Busk in London, which is working with iZettle on the scheme, said it would be made available to buskers in all the capital’s boroughs over the coming months.Founded in Stockholm in 2010, iZettle started out selling credit and debit card readers, but has more recently expanded with an e-commerce platform which tracks items such as sales and inventory for its customers.The partner of Fintech section is Tweet Views 14788
