Sberbank has launched its own messenger service on Sberbank Online mobile application. The service, called Dialogues, allows users to communicate and transfer money via chats.

According to the official webpage of the bank, the function will gradually become available to all users of the new version of Sberbank Online for iOS and Android after they undergo the authorization procedure.

The current version allows users to send messages and money to other Sberbank users by specifying their phone number or selecting a contact from their phonebook. The service is activated the first time the user enters the Dialogues section.

“Many users already add messages to their money transfers through Sberbank Online. We have developed this option further. Dialogues makes it even more convenient to communicate and transfer money via Sberbank Online,” said Svyatoslav Ostrovsky, Head of Sberbank’s Digital Platform Division.

“Market analysis showed that banks usually prefer to integrate their services in existing messengers or create separate applications. We don’t plan to avoid these approaches, and first of all we decided to launch our main application, which has already become a familiar and convenient way for millions of our clients to solve financial issues,” he concluded in an interview to Vedomosti.
