The Visa Cashless Forum marks its first event in Armenia

On November 22, the Visa Cashless Forum marked its first event in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. This closed international event brought together distinguished government officials, prominent Visa speakers, banks and financial sector professionals, payment technology experts.
“The forum served as a collaborative platform, uniting Armenia’s key stakeholders to explore the future of cashless payments. Attendees had an opportunity to exchange ideas and network, fostering innovations and partnerships.
The Visa Cashless Forum is a flagship event for Visa in the CISSEE region, showcasing the latest trends in the financial sector. First held in Ukraine in 2017, the forum has since been hosted in countries such as Kazakhstan, Serbia, and others. This year, the forum marked a significant milestone by being held in Armenia, reflecting the country’s growing role in the digital transformation of the financial landscape,” the news release reads.
Top executives from the Visa CISSEE and CEMEA regions participated as speakers, including Andrew Torre, Regional President, Visa CEMEA; Cristina Doros, Group Country Manager, Visa CISSEE; and Diana Kiguradze, Regional Manager, Visa Caucasus; Nicolas Khoury, Head of Visa Consulting & Analytics, Visa CEMEA; Godfrey Sullivan, Head of Product, Solutions & Digital Partnerships, Visa CEMEA; and Walter Lironi, Head of Value-Added Services, Visa CEMEA.
The forum explored key topics, including digital payments, generative AI, value-added services, and Gen Z as a driving force behind consumer spending growth.
