SCDM company, which provides risk management services, opened yesterday a new office in ViaSphere Technopark.

According to the company’s Managing partner Vahe Andonians, the expansion of premises is conditioned by the increased number of employees.

“SCDM has been working in Armenia since 2003. We had only two staff members at that time, and now the number of employees has reached 160. We intend to make it 200 by the end of the year,” he said.

Vahe Andonians stated that the company implements risk managements mostly for foreign banks and insurance agencies.

“The majority of our clients are from Europe, with around 60% share of SCDM market occupied by Germany alone. Moreover, we have clients in USA, Japan, etc.,” he noticed.

At present, SCDM doesn’t provide services to Armenian companies, as there is no demand as such. According to Vahe Andonians, the situation is not about to change in the near future.

As for the possible impact of the global economic growth slowdown, Vahe Andonians stated that it did not affect the company. On the contrary, the companies show more appreciation for the role of risk management during the crisis.

 “Last year we had around EUR 6 mln turnover and registered EUR 2 mln profit. The company plans to expand its activity, offering new services to the clients,” SCDM Managing partner informed.
