Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan received today a delegation headed by Drago Azinovic, President of Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa Region at Philip Morris International Management S.A., and Philip Morris International Duty Free.

The Armenian Government informed that Prime Minister welcomed the American company’s decision to develop business activity in Armenia.

Karen Karapetyan noted that Armenian Government is ready to discuss cooperation programs and initiatives.

Philip Morris will open Research and Development (R&D) centers in Armenia. Drago Azinovic stressed they are interested in forming long-term cooperation with Armenia’s public and private sectors.

The meeting was followed by signing of a framework memorandum of understanding between Armenian Ministry of Economic Development and Investments and Philip Morris International Management S.A.
