Farm Credit Armenia was registered and licensed by Central Bank of RA on September 18, 2007 (RA CBA license N 20) as Universal Credit Organization Commercial Cooperative. Farm Credit Armenia was founded on 27 February, 2007 by the founding meeting of 57 farmers from five RA marzes (Ararat, Tavush, Vayots Dzor, Kotayk, Syunik) and the Trust Foundation of Association of Virginia U.S. Farm Credit System.

Farm Credit Armenia is currently in close collaboration with US Farm Credit Administration, Farm Credit System Banks, US State Department of Agriculture Armenian Office. The organization receives technical and financial support from US Farm Credit System and US State Department of Agriculture.

Farm Credit Armenia UCO CC is currently the only financial institution in Armenia based on true cooperative principles. Farm Credit Armenia`s customers are owners, members and beneficiaries of the organization.

Farm Credit Armenia provides loans to individuals and legal entities from different marzes of Armenia, who are involved in agriculture as well as processing of agricultural production and other agriculture related activities. The organization provides four main types of loans/services.

Agricultural loans are provided to individuals and legal entities from marzes of Armenia who have experience in agriculture, mainly in: cattle-breeding, poultry, fish-breeding, viticulture, gardening and horticulture, cultivation of truck crops, other agricultural activities.

Agribusiness loans are provided to individuals and legal entities from marzes of Armenia who have experience in agricultural production/processing, mainly: dairy production/processing, wine-making, preservation, flour-milling industry, forage production, fruit and vegetable driers and refrigerators, agricultural stations for vehicles and tractors, trade of pesticides and fertilizers, other agribusiness related activities.

SME loans are provided to individuals and legal entities from marzes of Armenia who are involved in the retail and wholesale trade, production, services and other activities supporting farmers and agribusiness.

Financial leasing is provided to individuals and legal entities from marzes of Armenia for acquiring agricultural machinery and equipment for any type of agricultural production and processing.
