The “Prometey” commercial bank was established in 1990.

In 1996, it was renamed into “Prometey Bank” Co.Ltd.

License N 27 of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia.

The bank is the shareholder of "Armenian Card" CJSC and the full member of "ArCa" payment system, the affiliated member of MasterCard payment system, the member of SWIFT system, the member of Western Union international money transfer system, member of Anelik, MIGOM, MoneyGram money transfer systems for individuals.

The shareholders of the bank are "ZNGS-Prometey" CJSC and a citizen of the Russian Federation Vazgen S. Gevorgyan.

The bank has 3 branches:

- "Tigran Mets" branch, Yerevan, 10 Tigran Mets str.
- "Kasyan" branch, Yerevan, 5 Kasyan str.
- "Yervand Kochar" branch, Yerevan, 17/1 Y.Kochar str.

As of 31 March 2008, the bank had 97 employees.

As of 31 March 2008, the bank served 3166 clients: 277 legal entities and 2889 individuals.

As of 31 December 2009: total capital - 9 681 546 thousand dram, the assets - 21 531 477 thousand dram, the liabilities - 11 849 931 thousand dram.
