ARARATBANK was established in 2004, as a result of purchasing the shares of “Armsvyazbank”, which had been functioning in the Armenian financial market starting from 1991. In September of 2005, the bank was renamed to a closed joint stock company.

License of RA Central Bank № 4.

On August 3 of 2007, ARARATBANK became an open joint stock company.

The bank is a member of the Union of Armenian Banks, a partner of the Ministry of Finance of Armenia and the Central Bank of Armenia, ARARATBANK is attached the status of an RA state debt management agent in the primary and secondary markets of bonds.

The bank is a participant of «ArСa» national payment system and a member of international SWIFT payment system. Staring from 2006, the bank bas has been a shareholder and full member of “Armenian Card” Company.

In 2007, “ARARATBANK” became an affiliated member of Master Card.

The bank realized international money transfers by Anelik, MIGOM, BLUSKO, BTF SOUZ, “Bistraya Pochta” (“Quick Post”), Xpress Money, Money Gram, Avers international payment systems.

In 2007, “ARARATBANK” signed a loan agreement with European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for 1mln to develop small and medium enterprise and to stimulate trade.

Starting from October of 2006, the bank has been participating in “Stable Development of the Mortgage Market” program of the German KfW bank.

In 2007, the bank signed a co-crediting agreement on provision of business credits with the Swiss “Izmirlian” Foundation.

In 2007, the Global Rating international independent rating agency assigned ARARATBANK “B+” rating with stable outlook.

The bank provides services to over 34 000 individuals and legal entities.

The bank has 25 branches in Yerevan and regions of Armenia.

As of 31.12.2008, the number of the bank’s employees made 284.

As of 31 December, 2009: total capital - 7 848 305 thousand AMD, the assets - 41 342 014 thousand AMD, the liabilities - 33 493 709 thousand AMD.
