ARARATBANK was established as a result of the reorganization of Haykapbank, operating on Armenian financial market since 1991.

The Bank has been functioning as an open joint stock company since August 2007 (Banking license #4).

Since 30.01.2009 the Bank has been a member of NASDAQ OMX Armenia.

The Bank is a participant of ArCa system, a shareholder and a full member of Armenian Card company. It issues ArCa Classic, ArCa Junior, ArCa Green Line, as well as AUTOCARD payment cards, "Family cards" package as well as “Gift Card”.

The Bank is an affiliate member of MasterCard and VISA International payment systems. The Bank has issued MasterCard Gold, Business, Standard and Maestro cards. The Bank is a participant of SWIFT international payment systems. It offers international express money transfers through MoneyGramm, Anelik, Xpress Money, MIGOM, БТФ-СОЮЗ, Blizko, БЫСТРАЯ ПОЧТА, Avers, Золотая Корона, Contact and other well-known transfer systems.

The Bank participates in various international and government lending programs, including World Bank’s “Access to Finance”, Lending Programs of European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, “Economy Stabilization Lending” of the Armenian government, credit programs of the Swiss Izmirlian Foundation, "Development of Sustainable Market for Housing Finance" program of the German KFW, the mortgage program of the National Mortgage Company UCC.

The Bank has 30 branches in Yerevan and regions.

As of 30.06.2010 the Bank had 360 employees.

As of 30.06.2010 total assets of the Bank amounted to AMD42 billion 679 million. Increase over the previous year makes up AMD14 billion 616 million or 52.1%. Liabilities total AMD 33 billion 151 million, increase over the previous year making up AMD12 billion 704 million or 62.1%. Total capital as of 30.06.2010 was AMD 9 billion 528 million with an increase of AMD1 billion 912 million over the previous year.
